What to do and where to go in Santiago.
Santiago is the capital of Chile and is one of many municipalities in the metropolitan region. The Greater Santiago is composed of many communes of the metropolitan region. Santiago is one them. Santiago is a very important and multivariate city. At the people from other regions of Chile or at the people from other countries I suggest you visit the presidential palace called "La Moneda" and Constitution Square. I also recommend visiting the historic city center. In this sector is the first cathedral of chile. Is the first postoffice of Chile, which today is used as a museum. This museum is named: "National Historic" and you can see the historical documents, national archives, typical clothing and Know history of major national heroes. There is also the municipality of Santiago and the Plaza de Armas, characteristic place, where there are many people from Peru. There is also the university neighborhood is located in the streets Republic and Brazil. This neighborhood has lots of movement and many youth. The activities I suggest are: in the day, tourists can stroll through the parks and trails of "Cerro Santa Lucia" and "Cerro San Cristobal". It's a very entertaining ride, even at the "Cerro San Cristobal" is the metropolitan zoo, beautiful place to Know. Special for animal lovers. At night they can enjoy pubs and restaurants of all kinds of styles and foods. A typical neighborhood is Bellavista neighborhood. There are places for everyone, if you like reading and quiet you can go to the "National Library", if you like crowds and the shops you can go to the "Paseo Ahumada". In Santiago you will find all you want.
