Assignment 5

One of the most interesting topics of sociology is the sociology of work. the majority of sociologists classics (Marx, Weber and Durkheim) wrote about sociology of work.
Work is conventionally contrasted with other factors of production such as land and capital. There are theories which have created a concept called human capital referring to the skills that workers possess, not necessarily their actual work. In the career I have had classes related to the sociology of work and I together with other classmates have done small studies on the subject. We investigated for example the work in Chile and the incorporation of young people to the labour market. I would like to continue studying and researching a topic that is very interesting and to can to understand what's happening with work in this society and in Chile.
